In Feb 2007, PowerPD campaigned vigorously in the Philippines in order to strengthen its market share in this growing country. Philippines have long been an important region for PowerPD as the country has already been keenly receptive to PowerPD products.

During the Feb trip, PowerPD has made several agreements with local distributor and their customers to work together to spread the knowledge of partial discharge to the companies not yet aware of the important distinctions which makes PowerPD strong on the areas of early detection and monitoring partial discharge on all substation assets; transformers, GIS, MCSG, Motors and Generators. Many on-site demonstrations in thermal and hydro stations were carried out during the one-week stay with great results. In the next 2 weeks, the test results will be sent to the customers who are anxiously waiting to find the condition of their assets. The customers quickly learned that the advantage of PowerPD’s portable TP500 is not only testing transformers and GIS, but also in doing so, its unit also finds and locates partial discharge and traces it to Generators and Motors or Switchgears and Cabinets. The multi-functional usage of TP500 in finding real PD and then to locate the exact location of PD has long been the main advantage of PowerPD.

China:

An important partnership was established in Shandong Providence in China during the Feb trip. This agreement in China will solidify PowerPD’s position in China to strengthen it’s marketing efforts in the Shandong Region, and eventually to spread elsewhere in the vastly large regions of China. More news will follow in few more weeks about this important agreement.
